In the last 2 years, the Fresno Metro Black Chamber of Commerce and Foundation have spent over $30,000 patronizing small women-owned businesses and through the CVWEIC we have distributed over $14,000 in seed funding, expansion funding, educational scholarships, and professional development awards through the Circle of Excellence cohort.

To date, the Central Valley Women’s Economic Impact Center has engaged over 275 women in the Central Valley. We are committed to serving and patronizing the women of the Central Valley to ensure their success and continued growth as leaders and business owners.

The Circle of Excellence cohort is an invitation-only program that follows a training curriculum tailored to women and diverse populations and offers a different approach to professional development. Also, the cohort spotlights the Central Valley’s most influential businesswomen. We're looking for women from every industry and profession that have made a difference in our communities, blazed a trail for the rest of us and are leaving a mark on Central Valley business.

The Fresno Metro Black Chamber Foundation recognizes the importance of leadership development and empowerment for diverse women leaders and business owners. We developed the Central Valley Women’s Economic Impact Center to engage, educate, and empower diverse and multicultural women leaders while facilitating their continued growth and success.

The Central Valley Women’s Economic Impact Center (CVWEIC) is a key part of FMBCF’s outreach and technical assistance to small and micro businesses providing impact training, small business support services and tailored events including our annual Women of Color in the Business Symposium. This annual event attracts hundreds of diverse leaders from large corporations, medium, and small businesses throughout the Central Valley and brings them together here in Fresno. The executive development atmosphere of the symposium allows attendees to make strong connections with their contemporaries and learn from all-star panels featuring some of the most influential women leaders in the nation.
